Interesting read

I passed along Misquoting Jesus. My friend, with several years of Jesuit training, reciprocated with Hidden Politics of the Crucifixion. His only comment "I think you will find this interesting." Indeed I did.

Some of the less traditional theories expounded:
The Magi gifts would have made 100 families wealthy;
Jesus was 40 when he died, not 33;
Jesus was well educated;
Jesus was a world traveller;
Joseph of Arimathea was a relative of Jesus & very, very wealthy;
Pilate's wife, Claudia Procula, was a follower of Jesus;
Pilate met with Jesus post crucifixion & became a follower.

There is more. However, no whispers of Jesus being married or having children. Unfortunately, the book is written simply and includes a few distracting grammatical and formatting errors. An extensive bibliography provides a launching pad for the curious.

3/5 Stars.
