Judge Whyte, my broker called

And asked me if I really still thought I'd be a zillionaire by 2010 and laughed. I threatened to move my account if he didn't lay off and we both laughed.

Seriously, it is easy for me to be impatient with the seemingly snail-paced justice that eeks out of The Honorable Justice Whyte's chambers.

Collectively, millions have evaporated from the accounts of friends over the years in eroding Rambus calls.

That sucks.

Several Ramboids have died waiting.

That sucks.

August, 2008 is nearly 1/2 history and we wait.

That sucks.

Is it JW's fault?

Nope.

JW is one man with a couple staff attorneys battling dozens "of record" lawyers and multitudes more back at their offices, representing tens of millions of dollars in legal fees and billions of at risk dollars.

It will happen and I will call my broker. I will laugh. I will threaten to move my account and we will both laugh - me from my belly and my broker from his sinuses.

Donkey did his thing and I grabbed a stick and took a reading . . . JW will enjoin Hynix in layers. No stay. CAFC will need some time to peel the onion of JW's treatise and while they read, sip their tea and play chess to clear their minds, Hynix will fall to its knees.

And I will laugh.

And I will cry as I remember those who have passed.

Rambus Inc. versus The World

Respectfully . . . It is a chore to get in. The shoes set off the metal detector and it is tough to remove them . . . squeezing into the elevator . . . attempting to be inconspicuous in a crowded courtroom . . . as a result, I generally follow the boards, relying on the eyes of others while plodding through regurgitated reports, recycled analysis and tired prophecies . . .

I am weary of this vein of thought: This case has so much IMO going on behind the scenes. I bet Mr. Frog croaked this theory near the turn of the millennium . . .

What evidence is there that much is going on behind the scenes? Plenty is going on in plain view and it cost Rambus $30 +/- million in legal fees in 2006. Isn't "insanely expensive" going to be enough?

Why is there the underlying belief / dream that activity is going on behind the scenes? What exactly is going on? Settlement negotiations? At this rate, the polar caps will have melted and arrived in California as snow . . .

Is somebody golfing with J. Payne? . . . sorry, forgot, he is gone.

Is a courier secretly delivering copies of filings made in J. Whyte's court to J. Jordan? . . .sorry, forgot, his is gone.

Does J. Kramer have the amigos by the short hairs? . . . perhaps, but he may soon pass the cigar . . .

Is Intel putting pressure on Micron to settle? . . . sure, right after MU apologizes for taking a few hundred million, lying (allegedly) about production, etc., and then watching Intel commence its fall from which it is yet to recover.

Is the classic prisoner's dilemma in play? . . . criminals in CA on death row linger for 15-20 years . . . Monica was smoking Bill's cigar when the Rambus saga commenced and Hillary might be smoking cigars in the same office before the appeals have run their course . . .

I weary of this vein of thought: I think Judge Whyte is being cautious to a fault because he realizes he's being observed by a great many parties.

Shaq throws bigger parties. Is Rambus et al. receiving "better" judicial attention and justice as compared to "Sealed v. Sealed"? The whole world is watching . . . along with the three analysts who follow Rambus - you know, those guys who throw softball questions or none at all. Either J. Whyte does his job or he does not.

. . . he loves me, he loves me not . . . he loves me, he loves me not . . .
