Here are some random facts about me:
1. As a 16 year old I jumped off a sidewalk and into the street in Washington D.C. and started waving as a limo flanked by several motorcycles approached. Elizabeth II, sitting in the back of the limo waved. Not a soul was within a 100 feet of me.
2. Twelve years later, without looking left I stepped off the sidewalk and into the narrow driveway that leads under the south side of California's State Capitol Building. My inattentiveness brought an entering limo to a very abrupt stop which spared me a trip to the hospital or morgue. Governor George Deukmejian sitting in back smiled and nodded as I jumped backwards onto the sidewalk.
3. I enjoy reading and I keep a list of the books I have read.
3. I enjoy reading and I keep a list of the books I have read.
4. I generally do not read instructions that accompany items I purchase. If there is a problem with installation or operation, another family member reads the instructions.
5. I save thank you notes from clients and their families.
6. I want to know who really shot JFK.
Bonus: I didn't vote for the Republican candidate for president this week. Not that it mattered here is California.
There you have it, 6+1. The + will put me in hot water with a lot of friends and family and that is something I also like to do - stir the pot and get a reaction.

Awesome! Good (and quick) job! After reading your first two road incidents, I expected to read about your July 20, 1969 crossing. ;-)
Nice list. Here I am posting on your site before even starting my list...
I just had to say that the first two items on your list somehow remind me of Forest Gump. ;-)
brent logan - okay, on July 20, 1969, I crawled across a very busy street and never saw one vehicle coming my way. I think everybody was watching Neil Armstrong!
todd - I a fan of the man who plays Forrest Gump & treasure the note I received from him a few years ago. (See item 5)

Cool! I'm jealous.
The closest I got to any of those notables was in collecting stamps from England with Queen Elisabeth's picture on them.
My brother Troy and I did see Ronald Reagan at a rally back in '80 though ;-)
