Semiconductor sales grow

Electronic News reports:

Worldwide semiconductor sales grew 9.4 percent in May versus a year ago, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association, reflecting a continued appetite particularly for cell phones and consumer electronics.

Sales grew 0.7 percent from April to $19.7 billion, compared with $19.6 billion in the previous month and $18.1 billion in May 2005.
