Gregory Stone, lead counsel for Rambus Inc. in its litigation with Hynix Semiconductor told the jury today (4/13/06) that under a negotiated license Hynix would have paid Rambus between $217 million and $858 million. Hynix refused to sign a license agreement and in 2000 litigation commenced. Mr. Stone suggested that $858 million would be a fair and reasonable verdict. Hynix's counsel, Dan Furniss, told the jury that Hynix owes nothing as Rambus patents are not found in Hynix manufactured products.
