Blame game

There is plenty of blame to go around for the first New Orleans Flooding. The fingers point and point some more. Who tops the list depends on who is writing the list. Many pundits find enough mistakes to keep three leaders - Mayor Ray Nagin, Governor Kathleen Blanco and President George W. Bush all longing for summer.

The Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson lays some of the blame elsewhere – he blames the residents.

It was blacks' moral poverty – not their material poverty – that cost them dearly in New Orleans.
