European Commission believes that Rambus may have been involved in possible anti-competitive practices . . . Rambus was involved in an industry standard setting body . . . did not tell the body that a proposed standard was infringing on a Rambus patent . . . and after the standard was adopted by the industry, ambushed the industry by attempting to enforce its patents.
It is a tired story . . . more here.
The Bush White House, with its proverbial head in the Iraqi sand, continues to let the FTC harass Rambus so long that a European Rip Van Winkle awoke and now Rambus must employ a slew of European lawyers.
Hat tip to Joe of the Pinehurst Thread for the links.
