Judge Whyte, letting killer rot

Rambus Inc. shareholders remain frustrated at the glacial speed that the Rambus litigation has moved through His Honors' courtroom.

Hynix Semiconductor filed suit against Rambus in 2000 - the three phase trial has not been certified and "Freddie", in the form of appeals promised by the DRAM manufacturers, threaten to serialize the drama.

I don't know if I should laugh or cry after reading that Judge Whyte received arguments in a death penalty case in March 2005 and has let the matter languish, unresolved. His Honor admitted he thought challenges to California's lethal injection methods had stalled the case. Not so. Judge Whyte is dusting off the file . . .

It happens, it happens.

Years of no closure.
