Breast exams, seriously

It hit my in box - "Breast Self-Exams Do Not Appear to Reduce Breast Cancer".

Every teenage boy - I am well beyond teenage years - has heard about the monthly self-exam. How many young men have made inappropriate offers?

Well, no more?

"At present, screening by breast self-examination or physical examination [by a trained health worker] cannot be recommended," Jan Peter Kosters, Ph.D, and Peter Gotzsche, Ph.D., of the Nordic Cochrane Centre, conclude. A review of recent studies says there is no evidence that self-exams actually reduce breast cancer deaths.

O-M-G

And again, O-M-G

I personally know two women not related to me that discovered lumps via a self-exam. Both had tissues that were cancer. Both sought aggressive treatment. Both, years later, live and prosper and are thankful for every breath.

Yup, and sugar doesn't make kids hyper. (Only adults!)
