Galaxy Evolution Explorer


Launched 4-28-03, sent home the ultraviolet image of M81 spiral galaxy shown at the center surrounded by Holmberg IX as the bluish-white fluffy material located approximately 12 million light-years away in the northern constellation Ursa Major.
