Judge Whyte & "a big nothing"

Google Alerts makes a good effort to keep me up on the doings of the Honorable Judge Whyte.

Today Law.Com reported on efforts by America's Most Wanted to keep transcripts of interviews from defense counsel in a murder trial involving an exploding robot dog.

Judge Whyte, after reviewing the transcripts, refused to quash the subpoena noting that the transcripts were "a big nothing".

The last laugh may indeed belong to Judge Whyte. Lawyers for America's Most Wanted disagreed with Whyte's assessment and appealed his ruling to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. In the process, a copy of the transcripts were errantly mailed to defense counsel. Defense counsel told the court that the transcript have been placed in a sealed envelope pending a ruling from 9th Circuit.

Calling Karnak, calling Karnak.
