Honorary Ramboid leaves the game

The LA Times reports:

Glenn "Mooch" Myernick, assistant coach on the U.S. national soccer team, died Monday (10/9/06) at a hospital in Thornton, Colo., four days after suffering a massive heart attack.

From a Ramboid:

(Mooch) was a friend of mine in high school.

"Mooch" had the brilliant idea to recruit myself and two other guys from my high school football team to play in a winter soccer league. He knew we would want to mix it up with soccer players. As a result, we were often "red-carded" and ejected from games for "aggressive play".

We had fun and you have to love playing a game in snow wearing shorts.
