FTC ruling against Rambus Inc. inspires hope

. . . or fleeting fantasies? Will Rambus continue its battle with Complaint Counsel of the FTC on into courts?

“The FTC ruling is about whether to recognize patents that Rambus claims to possess, rather than whether its patents were violated or not,” said Chung Chang-won, a technology analyst at Daewoo Securities. “It will positively affect the global semiconductor industry, which has been suffering from the patent lawsuits brought about by Rambus.”
