Reuters reports that Sony Corporation suggested (7/28/06) losses in its games division for the July-September quarter may be bigger than its losses for the quarter ended in June. The climbing losses may be due to increased valuation losses on PlayStation 3 microchips.
Sony estimated that in fiscal '06 it will have production shipments of 6,000,000 PS3 units. Sony's fiscal year ends March 31.
