Intel opened (6/22/06) its third 65nm manufacturing facility. Intel reports that its Fab 24-2 located in Leixlip, Ireland is Europes first 65mn chip facility in high-volume production.
Intel invested a reported $2 billion US dollars in Fab 24-2 which produces chips on the industry's largest wafers - 300 mn.
