Sharon Holt, senior vice-president at Rambus Inc. has a big job. According to her bio at Rambus.com, Ms. Holt is responsible for driving all revenue growth by developing key partnerships and new business opportunities for Rambus worldwide. Rambus CEO Harold Hughes, recently lauded her at the shareholder annual meeting.
Ms. Holt was quoted by EETimes today as having a couple companies on her shopping list of those who could benefit from the intellectual property and design services of Rambus - Philips "[looks] very interesting because of their position in the consumer space," and "Siemens also has interesting technological problems we could help solve."
Although gaming platforms will remain an important target for Rambus technology, Ms. Holt states that high-definition TV is another focus. Also, mobile devices as "more of a future market" for the company.
