Rambus announced that David Mooring will not be standing for re-election of his seat on the board of directors in May 2006. Dr. Mark R. Pinto has been appointed to fill Mooring's seat effective immediately and will be nominated in May 2006 at the annual meeting of shareholders for a two-year term.
Dr. Pinto is a Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer and the General Manager of the New Business and New Products Group at Applied Materials, Inc. Dr. Pinto is responsible for Applied's IP licenseing business and serves as chairman of Applied’s Venture Investment Committee.
