Intel grows in Folsom, CA

The Sacramento Bee reports (2/9/06) that Intel is responding to the "resurgence of the tech economy in general and Intel in particular" and adding a $100 million building to its Folsom, CA research and development complex. Intel employs approximately 7,000 at its Folsom campus.

Among other things, employees in the new building will work on products for Intel's flash memory business, which includes chips used in cell phones, and its digital health business, which includes chips for diagnostic equipment and personal health care field.

Any Donkey repeats . . . "which includes chips for diagnostic equipment and personal health care field."

Any Donkey predicts . . . one of those chips for the "personal health care field" will someday accompany YOU everywhere you go.

The Sacramento Bee is online and is linked here. Annoyingly, you must register.
