Toshiba v Hynix

Toshiba Corporation has employed the services of Ronald L. Yin of the law firm of Piper Rudwick Gray Cary (Gray Cary) to file a complaint against Hynix Semiconductor, Inc., Korea and Hynix Semiconductor America, Inc, California with the United States International Trade (USITC) Commission regarding flash memory devices and components and products containing such devices and components.

The USITC is an independent, nonpartisan, quasi-judicial federal agency. It is not The USITC is NOT a policymaking body. It is NOT a court of law. It does NOT negotiate trade agreements.

The USITC makes determinations in investigations involving unfair practices in import trade, mainly involving allegations of infringement of U.S. patents and trademarks by imported goods. If it finds a violation of the law, the USITC may order the exclusion of the imported product from the United States.
