Samsung ranked fourth in revenue in 2004 with $2.103 billion - up from a tenth place ranking in 2003 with revenue of $1.142 billion or an 84.2% increase according to the research firm iSuppli. Samsung held a 6.7% market share in 2004.
Toshiba led the way with a 16.5% ($5.163), followed by Sony 12.0% ($3.768) and Masushita 8.6% ($2.708).
