Kim Sung-jin writing for The Korea Times reports that the Korean Fair Trade Commission (K-FTC) has fined Samsung Electronics 60 million won for manipulating company documents prior to the market regulator’s investigation into the company last November. Two managers were fined 20 million won each and another 20 million won fine was slapped on Samsung Electronics’ headquarters.
Quoting a K-FTC spokesman:
“Samsung Electronics has committed an unprecedented type of organized sabotage and the agency will deal sternly with such deliberate systematic obstructive activities because those schemes seriously hamper its investigative efforts.”
