Pinehurst’s own “JoeMcE” reports that the 7th Annual Make A Wish (Rambus) Challenge Dart in Las Vegas raised over $8,000 – with more coming in.
Joe notes that Rambus is in parentheses “because for the 7th straight year they have not acknowledged my invitation to help sponsor the event. Lord knows they could use some good PR.”
Summarizing the success of the event in a recent email to the Pinehurst Thread . . .
While my donation tends to fluctuate with price of RMBS's stock, I usually donate $1000 per game with the kids' always winning six games. This year with RMBS in the doldrums, $500 for each six games was donated. This event has raised well over $60,000 (over fifteen Wishes for the Kids) in its 7 year history - thanks to the many generous contributors from this thread. Thanks to all.Hat tip to Joe “the Whiz”, Stacy Bromberg – USA #1, John Part – former #1 world & Paul Lim for playing the challenge . . . and Ed for supporting Joe.
CD's Lounge, the venue for the match, was packed with dart players and fans from all over the world, in town for the Las Vegas Desert Classic Dart Championship. Accents were myriad, as players and fans from England, Scotland, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Japan, Australia, and Asia attended to support the MAW challenge.
Joe also specifically wishes to thank The1stBA and Finz for their kind support.
It is not too late to donate:
