From Donkey's mail bag . . .

I sincerely enjoy your short concise comments on Rambus. I have been a shareholder since Fall of 1998.

At this point in time, I own 33,000 shares as well as 125 January 2007 30 call options. No one has given me anything. All of these were purchased with my own funds over the last 7 years.

It disgusts me to see how much (in the form of options) is being doled out to marginal newcomers (at best) and suits with a title (at worst). I own (and have started) my own small business. I know the importance of investing in people to build my business. The compensation being given out to Donnelly, Stark, (et al) is money flushed down the drain in my opinion. The money and options should be given to the engineers that are inventing tomorrow’s technology.

Farmwald, Horowitz, and even to a certain degree, Tate, I have no problem with their sales. They have contributed immensely to the company that is Rambus. These suits that show up to a Rambus sponsored event, to press the flesh, THAT IS THEIR JOB! You can outsource a PR department and get more bang for the buck than what these “sales and PR" people are generating. These people should be generating stuff EVERY DAY to get into print. That is their job! And, if I may add, a pretty simple one compared to inventing XDRAM or other technologies.

I have spewed enough, keep up the good work.

Best regards,
