Reports are circulating that Sony’s Blu-ray, favored by Dell Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Philips Electronics NV, and Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd. will be the new standard for DVD players, PC drives and optical disks – beating out HD DVD favored by Toshiba, NEC Corp. and Sanyo Electric Co. Ltd.
Blu-ray is reported to be included in Sony’s Playstation III.
