The reward for the verifiable proof of the owner of the 1 ½ inch long fingertip Anna Ayala, 39, claimed to have found in the chili she purchased at Wendy’s in San Jose, has been increased to $100,000.
The Santa Clara County coroner's office continues it investigation which has included attempts to make a partial fingerprint to search for a match in an electronic database – no hits – and DNA testing.
Ms. Ayalya, who reportedly has record of being litigious, has dropped her claim against Wendys.
