Should have bought a 1000 copies!

As Pope John Paul II weakened and his health failed, I was reminded of a book that I read nearly 20 years ago about Pope John Paul I.

I searched behind triple deep rows of books in my library, blowing dust and sneezing. I was rewarded with success and I found In God's Name: An Investigation into the Murder of Pope John Paul I by David Yallop. I thumbed through the book, looking at pictures, reading a paragraph here and there and remembering.

I then wrote a review and posted it at amazon.com. Read it here. (Robert Logan)

I remember noticing that a few copies of the book were available for under $10.00. As I already had a copy, I had no intention of buying one - I was merely curious.

This weekend I received the following email:

Mr. Logan-Saw your Amazon review on the book about the Vatican.Very interesting! You wouldn't know where I couldfind a copy of this book (cheaper than Amazon) wouldyou? Why is the price so high on Amazon?
Thanks- ****

Again curious, I checked Amazon . . . the price was $34.50!

Well, I should have bought several . . . . the lowest price for the book is now $125.00. Yes, you read that correctly . . . a used copy of the book is selling for $125.00 and up!

Author David Yallop's website can be found here.

Just checked the Amazon site - now at $135.00 - do I hear $500.00?
Nice review, and certainly must be a fascinating read. Thank you for sharing. "B.A"
