The inquirer flirts with Rambus

In an article discussing DDR & its progeny the Inquirer smiles at XDR:

Hopefully, the semicon process advantages will also help reduce those nasty latencies... unless the CPU memory access patterns are re-optimised in the meantime for longer bursts. Or, should we go the XDR route? After all, Rambus is again *healthy*, with plenty of royalties to come its way - and frankly, XDR looks good to me.
